Tony Jeffries, Olympic medalist boxer reacts and breaks down a young man's three-year boxing journey, from his first solo training session in 2022 to his progress in 2025. Tony is impressed by how the boxer's technique develops over time, especially his head movement during shadow boxing and the footwork that keeps him balanced and ready to punch. Tony also breaks down a hard footwork move called the power step, where the boxer moves his back foot before his front foot after throwing a cross. This creates momentum for the next punch, a back uppercut helping him generate more power. Tony points out the mistakes that can hold beginner boxers. Boxing mistakes such as throwing punches at full power without proper form and technique, dropping your lead hand when you are in range to get hit. Tony also noticed that his head movement stopped when he moved from shadow boxing to hitting the heavy bag. He also explains how recording yourself while training, helps you spot mistakes in your techniques and track your progress. He also advises against switching to southpaw or vice versa before fully mastering the orthodox stance. By 2025, the difference is clear as the boxer's movements become more natural and his punches flow without him needing to think through every step. Tony shows how consistent training can build real progress and why technical sparring helps boxers develop their skills.
