Knowing how to fight back against a bully begins here, every bully follows the same script and the moment you break it, they back down. Tony Jeffries, Olympic medalist boxer used to get bullied himself and this video mixes real self defense with the mental side of how to deal with bullies. Most of this works before the fight actually happens since bullies are looking for an easy victim not someone who fights back. Talking to someone who can help should always come first but these fight tips give you the confidence to stand your ground and fight back if you ever need to defend yourself against a bully. Breaking Down How To Deal With A Bully: The bully's script: every bully is looking for an easy victim, someone they can pick on without fear of any repercussions. Your reaction feeds them and they keep applying pressure until you fold which is exactly why breaking that pattern shocks them. Putting them on the back foot: bullies are the least prepared people for a taste of their own medicine since they have never taken it before. In boxing, when an aggressor gets forced onto his back foot, his whole game disappears and the same thing happens outside the ring. The Mike Tyson lesson: the most feared man in boxing beat opponents mentally before fights even started until Evander Holyfield refused to back down and put the pressure on him instead. Tyson lost his composure, started swinging wild and it ended with him biting Holyfield's ear and losing the fight. Standing your ground: making yourself big, raising your voice, and telling them to get away from you right now. This can be enough to stop the confrontation before it ever turns physical since it signals this will not go the way they hoped. The solar plexus punch: if a fight does break out, one punch to the solar plexus stuns them, disrupts their breathing and puts them straight on the back foot without the risk of breaking your hand the way punching the head carries.
