“HE SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN IN THERE!” - Wally Downes Jr. REACTS to Dubois-Wardley 2

Wally Downes Jr. of The Sun newspaper joins Radio Rahim to give his immediate reaction to Daniel Dubois’ destructive victory over Fabio Wardley in their huge heavyweight rematch. Downes breaks down Dubois’ dominant performance and explains why he had serious concerns about Wardley returning to such a dangerous fight so soon after the punishment he suffered in their first encounter. He discusses Fabio’s future, whether he now needs an extended break from boxing and the difficult decisions facing Wardley and his team. The experienced boxing journalist also examines the transformation of Daniel Dubois, praising his devastating power, improved confidence, footwork, jab and continued development under Don Charles. Downes believes Dubois is now entering his prime physically and psychologically, describing the new-look heavyweight as a “terrifying prospect.” Downes also gives his verdict on a potential Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic rematch, discusses possible future opponents including Agit Kabayel and Lawrence Okolie, and explains why he has no interest in seeing Dubois face Joe Joyce again.
