Everyone Picked Nery. Figueroa Had Zero Doubt.

"No one had me winning and every comment I read was either me losing or getting KO'd. He had a lot of hype due to his power. Even then, there wasn't an ounce of doubt in my mind. Stood right in front of him till I timed that body shot." - #BrandonFigueroa. That's the whole story of the night. Luis Nery came in undefeated, a two-division champion, the betting favorite, with the overwhelming majority picking him to win. Figueroa didn't just believe he'd win. he believed he could do it the hard way, standing right in the pocket with one of the division's most feared punchers. He walked Nery down, weathered the early rounds, and kept digging to the body until he timed the shot that ended it. A left hand downstairs in the seventh dropped the champion for the count. Doubt is loud. Belief is louder. The Heartbreaker proved it. #FigueroaKameda is 2 weeks away. Oct. 17 | Live on DAZN & TNT Sports
