There was major drama at the weigh-in as Figueroa came in at 127.4 lbs, 1.4 lbs over the 126 lb featherweight championship limit, meaning he lost his WBA Featherweight World Title on the scales. Former world champion Tomoki Kameda successfully made weight at 125.8 lbs and remains eligible to win the WBA title when the pair meet in the ring. Figueroa (27-2-1, 20 KOs) entered fight week as WBA champion after his dramatic 12th-round stoppage victory over Nick Ball in Liverpool earlier this year. The 29-year-old now faces an experienced challenger in Japan’s Kameda (42-5, 23 KOs), a former WBO Bantamweight World Champion looking to become a world champion once again. The fight serves as the co-main event to Sebastian Fundora vs Ermal Hadribeaj at The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. 🥊 Brandon Figueroa: 127.4 lbs 🥊 Tomoki Kameda: 125.8 lbs 🏆 WBA Featherweight World Title 📍 The Chelsea, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas 📅 October 17, 2026 Subscribe to Seconds Out for more Brandon Figueroa vs Tomoki Kameda coverage, including interviews, fight-night action and post-fight reaction. #BrandonFigueroa #TomokiKameda #FigueroaKameda #Boxing #PBC Subscribe to Seconds Out for the latest boxing news: http://goo.gl/meA2GB Follow on Twitter: http://goo.gl/VDYVMP Like on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/secondsoutlive Follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/secondsoutlive News website: https://www.secondsout.com/
